📋 Description
- Join BlaBlaCar's Corporate Services pillar and empower the Community Relations Team with tools providing a 360-degree view of the user journey across the platform.
- Contribute to the development of Phoenix, BlaBlaCar's new comprehensive back-office system, which aggregates data from teams and supply lines including train, carpool, and bus.
- Build critical user-management capabilities such as account blocking and content moderation while ensuring customer relation agents can operate seamlessly.
- Collaborate with a full-stack team of 3 backend engineers and 1 frontend engineer, working closely with the Community Relations Team and Product Managers across the company.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of the product from early-stage conception through final rollout.
- Participate in the technical design, development, and maintenance of Java microservices supporting Care flows across the BlaBlaCar platform.
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, alerting, and support.
- Collaborate with engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders to shape features that reach production.
- Share knowledge within the team through documentation, good practices, processes, communication about changes, and code reviews.
- Work in a fast-paced, product-focused environment while balancing technical quality and time-to-market.
🎯 Requirements
- Experience with Java and frameworks and tools such as Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, and Mockito.
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture and the ability to determine when to apply appropriate architectural patterns.
- Openness to modern development tools. Experience with AI coding assistants is a plus, as well as an open-minded approach to using AI to improve daily workflows.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn beyond backend development, including exploring frontend projects using React and TypeScript.
- Knowledge or prior experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Datadog is a plus.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a strong product focus and the ability to balance technical quality with time-to-market.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to share knowledge and adapt communication to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to improve team ways of working through communication and shared agreements.
- Ability to embrace change, step back when necessary, and focus on high-value tasks.
- Fluency in English.
