📋 Description
- Join the Door to Door team as a Front-End Web Engineer and contribute directly to one of BlaBlaCar's key strategic initiatives.
- Develop a new door-to-door experience within the BlaBlaCar product, aiming to provide the convenience of car ownership without the burden.
- Rapidly iterate on product features while considering future system scalability.
- Work in a highly autonomous environment with proactive involvement across different product and architecture scopes.
- Act as the sole web engineer on the team while supporting, coaching, and mentoring another engineer as they develop their web expertise.
- Contribute to passenger and driver experiences while maintaining strong ownership of the team's core domain.
- Participate in BlaBlaCar's Front-End Web Engineering Chapter and contribute to the foundational architecture of the web platform.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, and engineers to ensure products meet business and user requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable features within the BlaBlaCar product.
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and BlaBlaCar architecture principles.
- Work with other teams to integrate new features with existing systems and leverage existing capabilities.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and cross-functional technical discussions.
- Share technical expertise with technical, product, and business stakeholders.
- Proactively contribute to the Front-End Web Engineering Chapter.
- Leverage state-of-the-art AI tooling, broadly adopted across BlaBlaCar engineering teams, to improve development efficiency.
- Contribute to BlaBlaCar's goal of reaching 1 million passengers using the new feature by 2028 and generating an additional €5 million in GMV.
🎯 Requirements
- Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React.
- First experience with Git, Docker, Node.js, and observability solutions.
- Full working proficiency in English.
- Alignment with BlaBlaCar's BlaBlaPrinciples.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-growing, and innovative environment.
- Ability to take ownership while remaining aligned with business priorities.
- Strong appetite for AI-assisted coding and agentic workflows.
